Software development and implementation
Custom software for small businesses that have outgrown their tools
Free · 2-3 specific findings · No obligation
Based in Fort Lauderdale, working with businesses across the US, and on site across South Florida.
Signs you need this
- You pay for several tools that don't talk to each other.
- Critical processes live in one person's spreadsheet.
- You've outgrown your software, but replacing it feels risky.
01 The problem
When your team works around its software, the workarounds become the business.
Your team works around your software instead of with it.
It starts small: a spreadsheet to bridge two tools, a person who copies orders from one screen to another, a report someone rebuilds every Monday. A few years later the most important process in the company lives in one person's head and three tabs that don't talk to each other.
Off-the-shelf software is often the right answer, and we'll recommend it when it is. But when your process is what makes you competitive, or the tools you pay for can't be connected, custom software removes the workarounds instead of adding another subscription.
We build it around how your team actually works, run it alongside your old process until the numbers match, and stay on to support it.
02 What you get
What our custom software development includes
Build or buy, answered honestly
A plain recommendation before any build: what's worth buying, what's worth building and what it will cost to own.
Software built around your process
Order systems, internal tools, portals and workflows designed around how your team really works.
Connections between your systems
Your existing tools linked so orders, stock, customers and records move on their own instead of being typed twice.
Careful data moves
Your existing data moved over and checked, with the old and new systems run side by side until they agree.
Ownership agreed up front
Who owns the software and its data is set out in writing before any build starts, so there are no surprises later.
Support after launch
Fixes, updates and changes after go-live, by the hour or as an ongoing monthly arrangement.
03 How it works
How we build custom software
Map the work
We start with the free audit and a walk through how the process runs today, including every workaround.
Agree the scope
You get a written scope and one total before any work starts, plus what we'd buy instead of build.
Build in short steps
You see working pieces early and often, tested on your real data, so there are no surprises at launch.
Switch over safely
We run old and new side by side, train your team, then retire the old way once the numbers match.
04 Cost
What it costs
Custom software cost depends on how many screens and steps it covers, how many systems it connects to, and how much existing data has to move over cleanly.
Every build gets a written scope and one total before any work starts. If an existing product would do the job for less over a few years, the scope says so.
When it isn't the right fit
- An affordable product already fits how you work. Buying is usually cheaper, and we'll point you to it.
- The process is still changing every month. Settle it first, then build.
- Nobody on your side can own it day to day. Software needs an owner; we can be that owner, but someone has to decide.
05 In practice
See it in practice
Order prep went from 28 hours a week to zero. It's now fully digital and runs on its own.
Questions
Custom software questions
How much does custom software cost for a small business?
It depends entirely on scope, so every build is quoted. You get a written scope and one total before any work starts, and we'll tell you if buying existing software would cost less.
How long does it take to build custom software?
A focused tool can be live in weeks; a full system takes longer. The scope we agree up front includes the timeline.
Is custom software worth it compared with off-the-shelf?
When your process is what sets you apart, or the tools you can buy force constant workarounds, usually yes. When an existing product fits, buying is cheaper, and we'll say so.
Can custom software work with the systems we already use?
Yes. Connecting your existing tools is often the most valuable part, so orders, stock and records move on their own.
Who owns the software after it's built?
Ownership of the software and your data is set out in writing before any build starts. After launch we can support it, or hand it over to your own team.
